Kupilka - Spork.

While this may look like a very simple spork , The material these are made from is a Finnish polywood resin designed by Puugia, the Centre for Wood Technology in Joensuu, Finland.

This is a 225mm Spork , a bit longer for getting to the bottom of those pesky freeze-dry pouches. 

The Kareline® natural fibre composite uses wood based cellulose fibres reinforced with foodsafe polypropylene from recycled waste plastics. 

Kareline® is a very utilitarian material that has the following characteristics :

• Boiling water (+100°C ) as well as -30°C Liquids (Where you would find that In New Zealand I do not know).
  
  
• Can be hand or machine washed.
  
  
• Does not absorb smells or tastes: you can drink tea, coffee, water, and booze from it!
  
  
• Dyed with colors that are approved for food contact. There is no coating that would wear off during use.
